AeRO and CSIRO Digital Academy invite you to attend HackyHour@C3DIS, a free relaxed and informal gathering where researchers, tertiary, and secondary students from all disciplines can drop in to get assistance with problems related to code, data, or digital tools, increase their understanding of existing and new technologies, and network with other like-minded people.

Who should attend?

  • Researchers – bring a problem or just to learn and chat with our coding mentors
  • Secondary / tertiary students – we will have a range of activities on hand including unplugged computer science, talking to researchers about their work, an experiencing the interactive gallery of VR/AR demonstrations
  • Mentors: meet with other people who are running hacky hours and help others in the room

Sounds great! How do I get involved?

Just book HERE and turn up – feel free to bring your tech if you want!

Date: Wednesday 8th May 2019

Time: From close of Conference until Late

AeRO is the industry association focused on eResearch in Australasia. We play a critical coordination role for our members, who are actively transforming research via Information Technology. Organisations join AeRO to advance their own capabilities and services, to collaborate and to network with peers. AeRO believes researchers and the sector significantly benefit from greater communication, coordination and sharing among the increasingly different and evolving service providers.
